WHS girls finished 2nd to Dayton Oakwood. This meet was a strong team effort, with 11 of 13 girls scoring. Both Rachel Theiler and Claire Gilbert had notable time drops as seen in the second table. Rachel dropped almost 4 seconds from her sectional seed time in IM, while Claire dropped more than 8 seconds in the 500 free. Celia Oberholzer was district champion in back, and the 200 free relay team (Rachel Theiler, Claire Gilbert, Ellie Lebuhn, Celia Oberholzer) became district champs with a district record setting performance. Celia Oberholzer, Rachel Theiler, and Claire Gilbert all qualified to state in 2 individual events and 2 relays. Mariah Akinbi qualified in one indivual and one relay event. Ellie Lebuhn and Abby Gibbons both qualified in 2 relay events, while Sarah Gibbons qualified in the 400 free relay. Great job girls. Go get em at Canton!
