The WHS Boys had a hardfought victory at districts for the third year in a row. Dayton Oakwood pushed hard down to breast stroke when WHS moved ahead for good. It was truly a team victory and 11 of 14 swimmers scored. Although some of the freshmen didn't score, they had excellent results. In the table below you will note that they had outstanding improvements in time. WHS will send 7 boys to Canton to perform in 11 individual events and 3 relays. Owen Dunbar, AJ Burt, Pat Dierker, and Eric Lethander all qualified in 2 individual events and 2 relays. Jonathan Rutter (a freshman!!!) qualified in 2 individual events and 1 relay, and Paul Hoffman qualified in one individual and one relay event. Sam Rominger qualified in both the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay. Both the 200 free relay (Dunbar, Dierker, Rominger, A Burt) and the 400 free relay (Dunbar, Dierker, A Burt, E Lethander) set new district records. Great Job! Good luck at State. Go Cowboys.
